The Lotus
PLEASE NOTE
- The Lotus is a “wild place" - a natural environment that includes hazards at and surrounding The Lotus, such as but not limited to: low light; hidden obstacles; wet, uneven, slippery and/or icy stairs and walking surfaces that may cause The Client to slip or fall; wild and domesticated insects, plants and animals; dangerous weather conditions &; wild and maintained trails.
- Use of the property may be dangerous to certain people. People with chronic health problems should consult their health care providers before considering a visit to The Lotus. We are located in the High Desert. If many hours have passed since the last meal, or consumption of water, a person from a lower altitude may experience dizziness or loss of consciousness. Lower blood sugar and dehydration are concerns. Please be safe and always carry sunscreen and water.
- The water throughout The Lotus is Non-Potable. We strongly discourage the ingestion of water out of faucets. Drinking water from faucets is done so at the Client's own risk. If you are in need of drinking water, please do not hesitate to ask. Likewise, the ingestion of any food, tea, herbs or other edibles are also done so at the Client’s own risk.
- No harmful chemicals are utilized to clean our facility or as a means of prevention against contamination. The Client agrees to use the property & all facilities at their own risk.
- The application of massage or utilization of Healing Arts can cause physical discomfort, pain, and personal injury. It is incumbent on the Client to inform the therapist of any preexisting conditions. Furthermore, many Healing Arts are intended for entertainment purposes and spiritual fulfillment only. Not all therapists are, or can be, licensed by the state of New Mexico. The Lotus makes no guarantee of healing or experience. If you are in need of a licensed and/or certified professional, please seek this assistance.
- The Lotus assumes no responsibility for damage or theft of personal property, or for the offensive, tortuous, or criminal acts of third parties.
- The Client’s desire to use The Lotus property & facilities with full knowledge of the inherent risks, dangers ,and the physical and emotional injuries that could result must assume the risk of any such injury.
- The Lotus will not permit use of its facilities and/or property without the execution of a RELEASE, WAIVER, HOLD HARMLESS & ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT in which The Client, in consideration of being permitted to use the facilities of The Lotus, voluntarily releases, waives, discharges and relinquishes any and all claims or causes of action for personal injury, emotional distress, or property damage which may arise as a result of using Lotus facilities, services, Healing Arts or of being on The Lotus property, whether caused by any act, negligent or otherwise, of The Lotus.
